Here is additional information on the home. It was newly completed in December of 2005. We moved into the house then and vacated the house in June of 2007 - so actually - we didn't live there that long. Some items of interest:

• hardy specialized siding that was more expensive, but would hold up better in the climate.
• reinforced windows that were coded for a hurricane climate
• 40 year shingles
• leaded glass front door
• leaded and beveled glass antique doors that came from a historical mansion in Wisconsin
• leaded glass inside window above entertainment center doors
• Outside tulip window is an antique - and this is lighted at night - gives a wonderful glow outside
• Coach lights to end of driveway
• security lighting system with motion detectors on each corner of the house
• security lighting system inside (can be operated from master bedroom or by front door) that instantly turns all lights on in the house and they can not be turned off with the exception of one of these main switches.
• ceiling fans in each room
• custom made privacy bench/planter outside to hide the propane tank and the garbage can
• 220 foot pond runs to the south and east of the property - making the nearest backside and side neighbors almost an acre away
• beautiful dogwood and older mature trees behind the house which also aids in privacy
• the lot to the south will not perk - the land will remain unsold
• the lot to the north and west is available
• the pond has bass and there is a big white egret that fishes there regularly. There is also a family of about 8 deer that you will see drinking at your pond.
• To give us a more California flavor - we used blue rock pavers and washed river rock for the driveway with a cement underlay at the ridge

• Fully cemented crawl space under the home - this is where the water filtration system is located and where the filter needs to be changed every quarter. It is also plumbed so that you can bypass the filtration system if you choose - especially for spring when you do a lot of watering
• You have the choice to hook to city water and sewer - but we went with our own well and septic
• A fire pit out back with a cemented bench
• Lighting in the home is a combination of inset lighting, under and beneath counter lights in the kitchen, ceiling fan lighting and wall lighting.

• With the back glassed in porch there is approx 2400 sq. feet not counting the walk-in attic spaces
• Huge closets in all bedrooms – there is also a walk in closet in the master bedroom

• Neighborhood is quiet, upper middle-class and houses are all appraised at over $300K. Ours was originally appraised by our Realtor and put on the market at $329,000 - but we are not in a position to be able to sit on the home until this housing market turns positive
