architect or designer I recently bought a fixer-upper keeper that I intend completely remodel and live in. I have a sketch that includes most of the changes I want in the new modified floor plan. The question I have is this.
I want to apply for a building permit, and don't want stupid details like right-of-ways, easements etc. to hold up the approval process for the permit. I'd also like details for the new footers/foundation, (I'm adding nearly 1400 sqft. to the existing structure), rafters for the new tile roof etc. Can a designer provide the info I need or would I be better off hiring an Architect?
Any input would be appreciated,
