Do you watch any of the new "trend" in house flipping shows? I'm curious what you guys think about them. Do you think they make it look too easy so every Tom, Dick & Harry think they can do it?

Oh wow. I watch Property Ladder just for the trainwreck factor. I can't believe how many idiots get on TV, and apparently they make a lot of money on the houses. Of course, they are all in California.

I do think those shows distort the amount of profit, because usually it's pre-realtor fees. A realtor's fee on a million dollar property is a substantial amount of money.

I tend to think these shows increase the number of people who get it in their head that they can fix up a house, sell it and make a bunch of money, when in reality they have no clue, no more than the people on the show have.

I watch Property Ladder too. I remember the girl on there who slept till noon, spent 2 months picking out paint colors, and in the middle of the rehab took a 2 week vacation. What an idiot!

Also the guys who put the washer/dryer in the downstairs guest bathroom. I would never buy a house laid out that way.

I agree it makes people who know nothing try to get into the business so they can "get rich quick."
