Hello to all! I am glad to be part of your forum! It is always insightful to see what others are doing and to share knowledge with each other. This is one of the better parts of this business-the free flowing knowledge shared among investors.
I must have done something horrible in a previous life because I have become a full time investor! Last year I bought about 100 properties- some sort of a death wish or something! But honestly, I am having a great time investing! This hobby that has turned into a giant living breathing machine that has me and about 5 other full time office people working our fingers to the bone!
My company is based out of Gary, Indiana. GI as the local residents call it. We buy, rehab, and rent single family houses. This market is particularly nice for cash flow. This has become a huge attraction for investors from all over the US. About six months after we started the company we had people contacting us to find out how they could get involved with investing there. So needless to say, we started selling these little houses to investors from all over. About 3 months later we started a property management company. As if I didn't have enough problems with buying and rehabbing! Soon thereafter we brought on a full time manager who has really done a great job. We have continued to sell these houses as the demand has not let up.
Today, my little hobby moves a lot of little rental houses and makes a lot of investors really happy. For this I am grateful, as it helps pay my bills! A few people thought that this was something remarkable, and so I have done a bit of speaking to investors and now write for a few nationally published investment magazines. So, I have no life!
Well, thanks for allowing me to introduce myself. Happy investing to all!
