That's a great resource. California is more tenant friendly than many other states, so to own property there you have to be well-informed and make sure you know the laws.

I have to agree with you about California being more tenant friendly. I have a cousin who owns a few houses. In one house the tenant hasn't paid rent for about 3 months. Because the tenant is disabled a judge has ordered the tenant time to find a new place and to move in there. I understand being disabled that it is hard don't get me wrong. However, my cousin is losing out on money which in return could cause him to be late on the bills.

I agree, I would file that under, "I missed the part where that's my problem."

I am not unsympathetic to the plight of those down on their luck, but I don't think private citizens who are uninvolved in the problem should have to lose out on their personal finances, against their will.
