Hi, I am interested in making my own site. Is it hard getting started? And with that in mind, how would I get started? Any classes you recommend, or books?

If you are interested in building a website it is not difficult at all. You willhave to find a web host to host your page. Some web hosts will allow you to have a site off their domain from them or you can purchase your domain from another. company. I suggest getting a domain so you wont have to use your hosts site. Usually they will put alot of adds on the site.

Once you have all that in tack then you start building your site. Alot of hosting sites will give you tips on building a site.

However, I would research web hosts as for their rates do vary.

In addition to lcsamano's suggestions (which are great), make sure that the information in your website is original. there are tons of sites out there and you need to make your's stand out from the others by offering something that others might not.
