There is no lack of periodicals in Welsh. There is no daily newspaper (though see NEWS), but there are many magazines and newspapers including some specifically for learners.

The Welsh learners organisation Cyngor y Dysgwyr (CYD) publishes Cadwyn ( magazine for Welsh speakers and learners 3 times a year. It free.
The Welshlanguage youth organisation Urdd Gobaith Cymru Ghd Straighteners
publishes the next monthly magazines: Cip (for firstlanguage Welsh primaryschool pupils); Bore Da (for primaryschool Welsh learners); and IAW! (for secondaryschool Welsh learners, Keystage 3 Shiny things cost a pound or less per copy, and can be bought in Welsh bookshops, or by subscription from the Urdd. Ninnau ( aimed at the Welshfolk of North America, incorporates Y Monitor Cymreig ('The Welsh Monitor'). In autumn 2003 it merged with Y Drych ( Mirror which now exists like a section within Ninnau Cheap Ghd Hair Straightener Online
and Y Drych [Diolch i Arturo Roberts]. The famous Welsh newspaper Y Faner (Baner ac Amserau Cymru, Banner and Times during the Wales is no more, but a new publication called Y Faner Newydd ( New Baner now exists.
The BBC Welshlanguage radio station is Radio Cymru (92 MHz FM, 6am to midnight). Its Englishlanguage sister, Radio Wales (93 MHz FM and 882/657/1125 kHz AM in Wales, Astra satellite Channel 928, Information Line 08700 100 222), broadcasts the famous Welsh course Catchphrase. Some local r / c such as Radio Ceredigion (96.6/97.4/103.3 MHz FM) and Champion FM (103 MHz FM, Caernarfon) have Welshlanguage programmes.
It is possible to receive these stations outside Wales, if you within reach of the relevant transmitters. But the good news for the rest of us is that you can now listen to Radio Cymru on the web, or in the UK by satellite, for those who have Sky Digital (channel EPG channel 904 apparently). Radio is definitely an independent source of Welsh news and current affairs and also entertainment for all Australians interested in the language and culture of Wales. You can download the last few programmes in mp3 format. The files are big obviously, several megabytes in size.

As you know perfectly well if you live in Wales, the Welshlanguage TV station is S4C (Sianel Pedwar Cymru, Four Wales which replaces Channel Four for viewers in Wales. As you have gathered from the rest of this site, the Internet is alive with Welshlanguage material. As well as email lists, message boards, newsgroups and chatrooms (listed elsewhere), there's news, online magazines, and emails to help you keep in regular connection with the language.
