Invasion from the British!

Increasing House Prices in the UK and a desire to get out of the gloomy weather has made Florida irresistible for the British. Florida has always been a popular place for the British to buy a holiday or retirement home. It remains the retirement destination of choice for the majority of British overseas buyers. The over 50s now make up over 33% of the UK’s population and this is set to increase. Forecasts suggest that Florida will continue to benefit from this sector of the market for years to come. It’s a fact Florida real estate is good value for money compared to what can be purchased in the UK.

Considerations for the British Buyer

Climate – Florida’s climate is one of the major attractions, with year round sunshine. The climate has also been one of the areas of concern for potential buyers. During the summer months the heat and humidity often lead to storms and as seen in summer of 2004, frequent hurricanes. This has served to make some buyers a little hesitant. However newly built homes were found to sustain less damage compared to those built under older building regulations. The British buyer cannot resist value for money and they have returned to the Florida real estate market with vigour.

Property Market – The property market is generally stable, however the future will see larger gains as demand increases. Property in Orlando for example is increasing in value at above expected rates. This is particularly the case in the ' sought after short-term rental communities’. The British buyer compares the Florida real estate market to their own and Florida wins every time.

Marr International Ltd a UK based company which aims to put sellers of worldwide real estate in touch with buyers has experienced an increase in interest in Florida. This real estate marketing company has offices in the UK, Florida and the Caribbean. They have compared Florida with the UK, Caribbean, Dubai and Spain and have found that for the Europeans Florida still remains high in their aspirations.

Selling Property in Florida

Our website at www.HomesGoFast.com features real estate from Florida. We list properties from Florida for European exposure on behalf of agents and private sellers. Our property finding service works by having several contacts with realtors in Florida area.

Personalised Florida Real Estate tours

Our website at www.floridahomes4sale.co.uk offer personalised real estate tours. These tours aim to taking the strain from buying in Florida. This is achieved by making effective use of potential buyer’s time whilst staying in Florida. One of our Florida registered real estate agents Jeanette Cox has proved very popular amongst those who have chosen a real estate tour

This is Jeanette Cox realtor’s story:

I was born in the UK and relocated to Florida having had the desire to move to the sunshine state after visiting the area on numerous holidays. I now live in Florida with my two young children and my husband who works in Kissimmee. We love our life here in the sunshine. When we first decided to move here we it was really an uphill struggle to find suitable property in a single trip. We spent a great deal of time and money on our well earned breaks searching for new developments and properties for sale. Getting lost time after time becomes tiring & stressful. Once we found a home we liked nine times out of ten we discovered it had sold or gone up in price. We had no idea about the areas of the properties that we did like. What were the schools like, what bills do we have to pay, how much does a lawyer cost, how does financing work , how about crime rate , where is the nearest pharmacy etc.

Jeanette Cox is really in touch with her clients as she really does know what her clients concerns are when buying a second home or relocating. She has proved to be one of our most successful realtors
