Real Estate Term: ACTIVE SOLAR HEATING

ACTIVE SOLAR HEATING - a system that uses energy from sunlight to heal a structure and/or provide hot water. Contrasted with passive solar heating by the use of pumps or fans to move the energy transporting medium through the system. Installation of active solar heating equipment is eligible for certain income tax credits.
